Just added an electric shower, it needs a tank of water next to/behind it and a good electric supply. Things like this will go towards making the colonists happier or not, if you don't make enough of them. I've not written anything to do with the colonist's happiness/moods/relationships yet, been focusing on getting basic machines up and running and the base game-play mechanics. There are some quite complex production chains and some simple ones too. I prefer this approach, plopping things down that are made out of thin air provides no challenge or satisfaction IMHO. Instead you start with base materials, Iron ore, limestone, coal and produce intermediate materials (Factorio style!). These are then hand-crafted or machine crafted into more and more complex pieces until the final product is produced...a Furnace, a toilet, a shower, a mixing machine. All are produced in this way. They take time to make and use semi-scientific processes.
