I've put work on this particular game 'on-hold' for now, as it is such a huge game, it's going to take me a while. I think it would be unwise to attempt such a huge game as what is essentially my first game, I've wrote mods for Minecraft and factorio and wrote serious software in the past, but this would be my first ever game.
So, instead I dug up some old source code for a game I had been tinkering with and it's turning into a nearly-ready-for-beta-testing sort of game at this current time (September 2017) - It's much less ambitious than "Stellar Colony" (possible name for it), but I think it's still turning into an awesome game with plenty of engaging game-play. I don't want to give too much away right now, so stay tuned to this web page for more info. I'll have a twitter account for it too and youtube videos etc.
Just to be clear, I'm not ditching "Stellar Colony", just putting it on hold while I gain more experience making smaller games, I'm not talking 'flappy bird' simplicity here, quite complex games, but not on such a grand scale as Stellar colony.
Thanks for your patience, as usual ETA is something that floats about a bit. I'm hoping to start beta testing this new simpler game by the end of 2017 or beginning of 2018...maybe. As for details: It's a fun 2D space-based game with physics (proper gravity etc), but not a casual game you'd play for 20 minutes. Each play-through would take 30+ hours. It will be for Windows, Mac, Linux and Android (tablets).
Bye for now,
